Woodlands Community Garden – nature workshops on Saturday

By on October 15, 2015

Bio-diverse and Wild Words will be at the Woodlands Community Garden and the group’s new base at the Fred Paton Centre in Carrington Street on Saturday (Oct 17).

From 2-5 pm there will be storytelling and story making, poetry and spoken word and
lots of family fun activities. It’s all free and there is no need to book in advance.

But if you want to join Woodlands Community Garden to celebrate the Harvest Festival in the evening, tickets (£7 and children/concessions £2.50) are still available.

The Cask Strength Ceilidh Band will be supported by local band Les Vieux, who play and sing the French-language Cajun music of South West Louisiana – lively two-steps and plaintive waltzes on button accordion, fiddle and acoustic guitar.

There will also be some spoken word and other performers as well as a delicious feast of seasonal food.

* Harvest Festival, Saturday  October 17, 7-11pm at Fred Paton Centre
