By on September 10, 2014

PinUps – the new vintage hair and make-up salon opposite The Bothy in Ruthven Lane – are urging all 1950s fans to get their glad-rags on and head down to the Grosvenor tomorrow night (Thursday, Sep 11) for an exclusive screening of American Graffiti.

Vintage American vehicles will be on display outside in Ashton Lane and vintage makeovers will be available inside the cinema from PinUps who say: “The Girls In Pink will be on hand to offer ‘authentic look’ styles for girls and guys”.

Reserve tickets and a table at The Grosvenor Cinema (£16.80 including booking fee).

AMERICAN GRAFFITI (Director George Lucas and Producer Francis Ford Coppola) is a classic coming-of-age story set in 1962, against a backdrop of hot rods, drive-ins and rock n’ roll. Starring Ron Howard, Richard Dreyfuss and Harrison Ford in their break-out roles, it follows a group of teenagers as they cruise the streets on their last summer night before college. Nominated for five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, AMERICAN GRAFFITI features the sounds of Wolfman Jack and a soundtrack with songs by Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, The Beach Boys, and Bill Haley & His Comets.
