Action on Hearing Loss – Hear to Help

By on May 12, 2014

Action on Hearing Loss provides free practical support and information so people can get the best performance from their NHS hearing aid.

Trained local volunteers carry out basic maintenance such as cleaning ear moulds or replacing tubing and batteries at monthly drop in sessions.  And these volunteers can also provide information about living with hearing loss, caring for and getting used to hearing aids, and about equipment that can help people with hearing loss.

The free monthly drop-in sessions are at:

The Centre for Sensory Impaired People, 17 Gullane Street, Partick from 10am-12pm on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month.

The Albany Centre, 44 Ashley Street from 6-7.30pm on the last Wednesday of the month.

Action on Hearing Loss can also visit care homes, sheltered housing complexes day centres and lunch clubs. Contact them at 131 West Nile Street G1 2RX, 0141 341 5338 or see their website hearingloss.org.uk
